Owner of hobby shop here. I’m going to start running local tourneys of Pokemon X/Y. Finally on January the first one will start. What is the best format to run in a tournament? I would like to be simple and fair.
I had some experience before when I did a Gen V tourney, not allowing special event or dreamworld pokemon and the obvious hacks. I sometimes could care less about pokemon created, as long as they ran legal stats. I don’t follow much of smogon, as I find it too cripted for local newbies, as they don’t follow tiers much.
Recently when introducing the ruiling for the new one, some neckbeard and pokefreak were complaining about allowing megas such as kangaskhan and gengar, and if im going to allowed speed boost blaziken in the tourney.
What necessary rules should I follow here? Should I allowed the above mention pokemon?
