We all know how to breed, yeah?
Breeding that certain Mon with those EV's just right with a splash of Nature.
Kk, well how's /vp/'s VGC training going?

Hatching my last batch of MM Eevees for the night.

Quick retarded question, if i am breeding 2 4 iv pokemon, which have 3 same perfect ivs ( say speed, hp and sp def) but one has perfect sp attack and the other has perfect defence
so 31/x/x/31/31/31/
and 31/x/31/x/31/31
(i think this is right, i dont care about the attack in both)
what is the chance, and is their a chance of me getting a 5iv child in everything but attack?

You'll get 5 IVs within the first batch of eggs, second if you're unlucky.

1/24 chance.
There's a 1/6 chance of attack being the non inherited stat, and a 1/4 chance of both def and spatk passing from the right parents.

i AM using the destiny know, but i still have 6 boxes of rejects... and though i am only using the ones with hidden abilities, i am still going through way to many.

One parent holds the destiny knot, doesn't matter which.

Always.

If one of the parents isn't holding the knot, you might as well not be breeding anything.

I'm not sure you even know what destiny knot does from your posts. It makes five IVs pass down from the parents, that's it. If you don't use it only three will be passed down, so you need to use it.

If you're breeding for hidden ability too, assuming the mother you're using has the hidden ability, that's a 60% chance, so 0.6 * 1/24 gives you a 1/40 chance of getting a 5IV egg with the hidden ability.

With six boxes of eggs that's 180 eggs without getting what you want, there's a 1/95 chance of that happening which either means you're unlucky or your parents are wrong.

If you're breeding always have destiny knot on pokemon with desired IVs.
If you want a certain nature better start with that first before you check IVs, judging takes too long.
Try to masuda method while you're hatching for any pokemon.
