I guess you are right about the ghost types, most are considered spirits and one would immediately think they used to be other Pokemon.
I can concede that because of the contained world Pokemon is, whatever rules tat are made would stand to reason, but for those who are fans of Dragons outside the Pokemon universe it is hard for us to agree that Fairy's can beat them.
I know a lot of people group Fae and Fairy together, but Fae are multiple paranormal species grouped under one name, of which there were a few that could indeed control Dragon's, where with Fairy's I can only see the 5-10 inch glittery human shaped creatures that are their own species separated from the gathering that make up the Fae.
As for arguing about the internal mechanisms of things that don't exist, what better way to debate your own beliefs and opinions of things against someone with the same interest.
