Personally, with the sole exception of non uber legends, I like using the leftovers I get from here/other groups/WT to create my own pokemon. It got to the point where I used a pentaperfect charmander with the right stats and nature to create my own pentaperfect. Main difference was that mine had 2 egg moves that were essential for MegaCharizard X , but still..

Breed the shit out of one thing, then trade all of the leftovers for other peoples' leftovers. Form a team with them.

Much easier than breeding 6 things from scratch.

Charizard guy here. Usually I do my own since I like nicknaming my pokemon, but I like the idea of having a piece of your friends in your teams. Maybe not with /vp/, but I I might teach some friends how to breed some stuff so we can exchange stuff and make teams out of them.
