>>16993148 For breeding it depends on the steps to hatch the eggs. Short hatch times, just ride the road the day care is on, it's fairly long and your switch in and out for eggs will be quicker. For long hatch times, collect half a box, a box, or however many you want and fly off to the tower to infinitely ride your ass to shinydom. Use a talonflame or volcarana I suppose, since both can have flame body and use fly so you're not wasting that party space.
Best strat for IVs is to either check GTS for breeding rejects, i.e. limiting the level range to 1-10 and looking for the pokemon you're looking to breed or one in its egg group, or alternatively breed the parents with the right IV spread, wait for these threads to show up or try wifi general and ask if anyone is willing to flip the language tag. There's usually someone around who will, myself included, as long as you're not a total asshat about it.

Breeding with Dittos is good, but I'd recommend searching for a foreign version on the mon you're MMing. Not only will your egg rate be better, but you're also more likely to get something with more perfect IV's.

Day 1, there were already pentagon bred Bank mons on the GTS because Japs were breeding everything to trade, and were getting shinies all over the place.
I think if a Pokemon doesn't have a Pentagon, it may have increased shiny rates for breeding, to encourage breeding.
