I bought Pokémon White at full retail price about two years ago, back when /v/ was singing its praises. It was a massive disappointment, and I cleared the game in about 8 hours.

Are the new Pokémon games any better in that regard? Can I get my money's worth from playing through the story, or should I skip it and pick up a longer RPG?
