You know I don't mind mega-evolutions so much, besides one thing.

It should have only gone to 3-stage Pokemon, like the starters or pseudos.

Pokemon like Mawile/Abomasnow/whatever should have just gotten legit evolutions instead.

Now it's pretty much guaranteed that no pre-existing pokemon will get any further linear evolutions. Megas only. Fuck. FUCK.

Why does GF shit on Flygon so much?

>good BST, but poor stat distribution

I just don't get it. Going by the various who's your fave Pokemon of each type/gen/all time etc. threads, Flygon was and still is a very popular Pokemon in the fandom. Did I miss something? Does Japan have an enourmous hateboner for Flygon or what?

Flygon got me through some good times on the Battle Tower in Emerald. He's easily my favorite Pokemon, but one of the worst competitively. It's saddening to see him get even worse every gen.

I made a mixed Tailwind set that worked decently in Gen 5. I don't have the spread on hand but:

Flygon@ Life Orb
Rash with probably max special attack, enough speed to outpace Venusaur in sun if you manage to get off a Tailwind, and the rest in attack.

Earthquake
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Tailwind

I know 80 base is the exact benchmark before a stat turns to shit. But Flygon is terrible in and of itself and this is the set I've had the most success with.

TLDR; just run a band
