Factoring in the user's Attack stat is the best way if you're just trying to compare the power behind two attackers with different Attack stats using different moves. Doing the same thing with Adamant CB Terrakion's Close Combat and Modest Specs Latios Draco Meteor probably would've illustrated what I was trying to demonstrate with rather more clarity...
Incidentally, those two are at 105,840 and 115,245, respectively.
