That Beedrill has to learn it via Tutor in BW2, though
Give it an Occa and say Fuck you to fire types or put it in Trick Room with AV and tank everything

Some, not all.

In fact, Escavalier couldn't be tutored Drill Run in gen 5 anyway. Tutor and egg moves are all cattywampus and stupid.

You're not thinking of it right, tutor moves for the most part, don't also appear on breeding lists. So you can't pass down a Chansey's seismic toss (before Gen 6) to another chansey
Then in Gen 6, Chansey got it as a breeding move, so now you can breed it down, whereas before you couldn't.

I'm explaining this terribly
