All things considered, if the Digimon Anime and the main Pokemon Game series were to be considered alongside each other, neither would pull ahead of the other. The Digimon Anime had such a diverse storyline that toatally changed with each corresponding series, where as the main Pokemon series of games have always been supremely playable.
On the opposite side, Digimon games have been very 'meh' the best being maybe 2003. The Pokemon series has shown the same protagonist,n with the same never changing personality for the last twelve years, maybe only Diamond and Pearl series and the new Kalos Region series holds any true difference.
