My friend and I were working out ideas for a tournament a couple of weeks ago. You know how when you lose a battle in-game, you wake up at a pokemon center, and half your money is gone? We were tossing ideas back and forth for a competition based on that concept.
Say, for example, everyone pays a $100 entry fee. We could just have a regular tourney tree where the losers of round 1 get a $50 payout, and the winners would get $150 (their original entry fee plus half of the loser's money). The losers of round 2 would get $75, and the winners would get $225, and so on.
