If you play FRLG don't be surprised if you're a bit underwhelmed. Its basically a prettier version of the Gameboy games, meaning the overworld layout is kind of strange for GBA, lack of features (to make certain modern Pokemon unobtainable until post-game), and dialogue that doesn't fit the rest of the series. Then again if it's your first game you might not notice anything wrong.
