How are you guys preparing for the re-release of Pokemon Bank?

Currently genning 6 IV'd pokes to my Black 2 as well as doing a Soul Silver run.

I just consider it sad yet amusing. Me and the rest of the REAL hackers who worked on these programs know genned Pokemon are for stupid children. All of us know how to get the best Pokemon the real way. Doesn't it make you feel lame that we think you're inferior and we made your tool? Originally it was just for data extraction.

Why I intend to breed them and get me some legit 5-6 IV'd ones that I can raise for competitive battling. As for the events, they're to fill the dex, that's all.

What trouble? Genning takes no effort, no skill, no luck. I'm guaranteed to get what I want. Unlike breeding, where you want certain IV's passed down, correct nature, egg moves, etc.

here is, 100% guaranteed since I have the japanese version, how it works: Poketransfer transfers your mons from Box 1 to a :"transfer box" in the PokeBank. You need to empty that box every time you want to import new pokemon from old games.
It's not as tedious as Gen IV->Gen V, not by a long shot, but if you have a dozen boxes...
So to answer your question, if you don't have pokebank the poketransfer does nothing for you

I'm not justifying genning as the "correct" way to play the game - there is no correct way. You do it how you want. I'm just saying that cheating is faster, and that no breeder can say that their way is more time efficient, because it is clearly not. You can't argue with that.

Breeding isn't "hard," it's just time consuming and relies heavily on luck. Genning is easy and quick, no denying that.

When breeding from scratch and finding suitable parents for the nature, then IV's and countless failed experiments can take a long time. By genning, you get the perfect poke in one go.

Then again, I still intend to breed my genned poke so they are Kalos native.

Ditto (6IV) + Larvesta (6IV) => Guaranteed 5IV min poke always with Destiny Knot.

All it takes is time. All genning saves is time (which, if you actually want to USE what you gen competitively, you still have to breed anyway)
:"Faster" does not mean "easier". It just means "faster."
Breeders need to understand they're dumping a LOT of time into something for very little reward.
Genners need to understand that all they're cheating at a children's game.

That's correct.
One requires navigating to a page, downloading a file, learning how to use the file (even if it is simple) and then using the program.
The other requires navigating to a place, reading a page of info, and then going around in circles until you get what you want.
Again, one only saves TIME over the other, not effort.

Breeding? RNG abusing? Genning? Who gives a shit? In the end, nobody can tell the Pokemon apart. I'm aware that breeding is the slowest method but I'm still doing it because that's how I roll. Other people's Pokegenned Mons take nothing away from me. I don't understand why these threads always turn into crying and shitstorm.
