Even though I got a Mew from it, I regret paying actual money for this. It failed to replace any of the functionality I used Pokémon Box R&S for in Gen3.

I got another legit Gen4 Mew two years later from the FAL2010 Wi-Fi distribution.

Get the mons back on your carts and delete the Ranch data. Then restart it and put the mons back on (you can get around the X mons per day limit by changing your Wii date settings) until you got 999 and Hayley makes the offer again.
It's tedious, but My Pokémon Ranch is a 100% legit way to farm Mew (and Phione, but who cares about those).

Besides the ranch one, there was a mew event in 2010 too.

I think probably the hardest to get now is Manaphy or Jirachi. (that's not from japan I mean. Jirachi is distributed every fucking year in japan)
