OP, it's been tried several times. It never works. The fact of the matter is that Smogon's way is the best way to do single battling. There's a reason why their system has been in use since Gen 1.

No reason to use something like Linoone when Arceus outclasses it in every way. And honestly there's not that many arguments about tiering system. Most of the arguments come from people who don't know a thing about competitive play and just want to complain about it to be contrarian.
