The reason Instacheck was bad but Ditto giveaways are fine is because mass breeding was basically dead with Instacheck and Breeders got mad nobody else was doing hard work, so they cried cheating, Ditto giveaways are fine because it makes breeding perfect shiny Pokémon 100 times easier. Like, totally disregarding the fact those Dittos are Pokegenned to high heaven and undeniably more cheating than Instacheck. They won't admit it though.
I hate how all the trade threads are getting deleted but we get hourly "POKEBANK IS OUT SEREBII CONFIRMED" threads, I just want a Meloetta Dex Entry and getting some trade evos out.

Doesn't really matter either way. Once the Bank comes out, they can either gen themselves some Dittos or whatever legendaries they traded away. Right now there's a "market" but once the bank is out none of this shit will matter at all.

To be fair shiny trade general didn't have long to live with pokebank coming out, then shinies are going to be worthless anyways, aside from the gen 6 ones.

I still dislike how instacheck was constantly scorned while cloning is smiled upon.

I even saw people asking for shinies and 5iv mons in exchange for plain bankmons when pokebank came out in japan.

And for what? All 6IV dittos do is reduce the time it takes to breed, they could have just used the time waiting for Pokebank to breed for 5IV males in different egg groups.
