It's not amazing but it's highest stats without Huge Power is it's HP and Defenses. Most people would put Sitrus Berry on it as well, and no one playing smart is going to set up on something that can faint it easily (that goes for every set up sweeper).

When your set up requires you to half your own HP, you really are that frail.
Every single time I've seen someone send out Azumarill, I just hit it with whatever offensive move I'm packing and they end up either too low to use belly drum or just high enough to use it and be left within priority killing range.
Azumarill's base defenses are 100/80/80, but because of belly drum it's essentially 50/80/80. That's fucking dismal.
