Several people I know who have no interest in the Pokemon games, or even video games at all, who still like cute things have taken interest in seeing the amie features in my game due to the adorable factor.
Everyone seemed to love Furret the most, Eevee second most. The more "elaborate" Eeveelutions (Sylveon, Glaceon, etc) received good reactions but it seemed the preference was towards simpler, puffier designs.
No interest at all towards the more humanoid Pokemon, though a few liked Riolu.
tl;dr normalfags who have nothing invested in the franchise and thus have unbiased opinions and just like cute things prefer Furret
