Gotta shore up that low base HP stat. With as high as its base stats is, mixed sets don't require much effort. Get a nature that favors one, then pump stats in the other, but 252 into HP.

There are other ways of going about it, but, you give a LOT of bulk by pumping both attack stats.

If he's slower than the other pokemon, you can make sure that any time he takes a damaging attack, he's being hit against his shield form. By simply abusing priority moves.
