>>17073564>Gen 1 - B/C+/F/F-/C Was the first in the series, so at its time was pretty entertaining and the Pokémon feel like designs had fresh ideas, but today it's pretty flawed and buggy, and almost nobody bears to play it without having some kind of twist/added difficulty (randomized nuzlockes, glitch generators and shit).
>Gen 2 - A/C/B/A if counting Kanto as a whole, B if not/BWith the franchise being properly established, GF polished properly where it was needed. At last, something we could call a metagame was formed.
>Gen 3 - B-/F/B/A/BA very accomplished generation, it basically led the way to the franchise as it is now whether we like it or not.
>Gen 3 remakes - B/A/C/B+/AThis is the absolute final version to Gen I, and the reason everybody who wants a fresh start in the franchise go for them. Everything in order and as it was supposed to feel. The Sevii Islands are a nice bonus.
>Gen 4 - D/C+/A-/B-/B- Overdesigned new Pokémon for the sake of more technologic freedom and equally clustered evolutions for older ones pointed out a certain scarcity of ideas from the designers at this point. Also, the Team Galaxy subplot makes for a good story but every single one of them looks like a bumbling idiot. Except for Cyrus, which looks like a depressive idiot.
>Gen 4 remakes A/D/B/A/B+The classic Pokémon feel for those who were looking for it after DPPt aged pretty well. Only complaint is that the characters' redesigns by Ohmura didn't suit or held a candle to the original at all.
>Gen 5, Pt. 1 - D-/A/A+/B/B>Gen 5, Pt 2 - D-/A/B-/A+/B-The original Team Plasma single-handedly shook the basic formula enough to create a worthwhile story, but the whole "let's pretend this is Gen 1" stunt was pretty offputting. BW2's post-game is one of the best so far.
>Gen 6 - A/F/D/D-/CAs much as I enjoy this generation's atmosphere and the new Pokémon, there are a lot of stupidly bland characters and uninspired plot elements. Also, little postgame.
