Hey guys, I'm extremely late to the party here, and I have a quick question about 3DS save files and the friend safari.

I just got a 3DS and I know that the friend safari is based on your friend code and stuff. A quick look on the net told me that it's possible to reset your friend code by wiping your system. I haven't really done much aside from looking at Miiverse, so I think I have nothing to lose by resetting and getting a new friend code.

Now the other thing is that I read that the 3rd slot unlocks only after you beat the game, so I'm wondering if I can save the data into an SD card, wipe the 3DS to get a brand new safari, and then see if I got the one I wanted. Granted, this might change the type completely, but a weekend of resetting might do the trick.

Is it possible to scum up a friend safari in this manner?
