IMO it's much easier in doubles.
Aromatisse @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aroma Veil
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Def
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Trick Room
- Disable
- Misty Terrain
- Heal Pulse
Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
- Crunch
- Swords Dance
- Protect
- Play Rough
Choose whatever for the last two, these two will be doing pretty much everything. Gyarados would be a good choice though since it covers Mawile's weaknesses.
Turn one: Both opponents are intimidated, giving you a lot of relative physical bulk. Mawile Protects, Aromatisse uses Trick Room
Turn two: Mawile starts tearing stuff apart, Aromatisse either disables any super effective moves that would threaten you or casts Misty Terrain
With a combination of Trick Room, Aromatisse's Aroma Veil and Misty Terrain, Mawile has five turns where it is immune to confusion, sleep, burn, paralysis, freeze, attract, and torment, and is slow enough to outspeed just about everything in Trick Room. Games usually end before Trick Room ends.
Aromatisse is slooooow. Slower than Slowbro. Under Trick Room it will almost always be the fastest Pokemon, and supports Mawile by disabling any fire and ground moves and also healing it with Heal Pulse.
>>17085200FUCK THAT THING. Previously I had Dazzling Gleam on Aromatisse but then that son of a bitch ended my first 50-win streak, so I added Misty Terrain. It didn't help that the second half of my team was shit because I was so confident in the first half.
