Though that was more of a simplified set, apparently I actually run 252 HP/186 Def/74 Speed, not sure why I did that specifically but IIRC bold with 74 speed EVs outspeeds base 130s after a single boost or something like that.
Either way you should be setting up on things you specifically know you'd be able to set up on, and at base 90 speed there's really not a lot of things around or below you that run max speed who don't threaten you anyway.
