I nickname pokemon i've bred. I think IV's have distanced me from having a personal connection to a mon in a journey, and instead having one to the species of mon. I'm not sure what to do for bred shinies though

I always make the nickname some sort of pun relating to the animal the mon is based off of, and a recurring theme for that save.
For instance, my run of Y the theme was French, so I named my Fennekin Faux-pas
