Buff a Pokemon by giving it access to certain moves, abilities, or a Mega.

Mega Sceptile:
Grass/Poison
Ability: Tough Claws
Stats:
>Atk: 85 -> 120 (+35)
>Def: 65 -> 85 (+15)
>SpA: 105 -> 120 (+15)
>SpD: 85 -> 95 (+10)
>Spd: 120 -> 145 (+25)

Moves:
>Cross Poison @ Lv. 1
>Poison Jab via TM
>Play Rough and Dual Chop via breeding

I would leave it a grass type, its speed is already pretty great so I'd put those points into attack or Special attack.

I went with Poison to pay homage to Jurassic Park's Dilophosaurus. Originally I was going to give it Acid Spray as an egg move to further the homage and Huge Power for the heck of it.

Ability: Motor Drive (can't drop the signature ability)
OR
possibly something like an auto-expert belt, 1.3x boost to SE moves? since mozepool is fairly tasty as-is

decent speed, better atk, w/ special options
new moves: bolt strike/fusion bolt/volt tackle or equivalent, coverage moves are decent, needs a non-shit elec stab (inb4 didnt help flareon) also give it crunch cuz of them huge jowls

How about dark type?

It already has several dark moves in it's levelup moveset, and he always gave off the edgy portrayal. Heck, he was cheated out of this second type while his starter brethren both were given significant second types.

So this way it becomes barely useable, but probably a waste of your Mega slot.

I had a great idea for a M-Sceptile ability:

"Sprint": upon switching in (or mevolving), if the foe is faster than M-Sceptile its Speed increases +1

That way all the stats can focus on improving s SpAtt or Att (pref. Att)

I was actually drawing my own Mega Sceptile earlier, funnily enoughh. You even have similar ideas as me for stats and abilities. Mine was Tough Claws w/ 70/125/85/105/105/140, but I couldn't decide on the typing.
