A game company that has a sale on the eshop which ends January 6th (or maybe it was 7th). The theory is that Nintendo is waiting to release bank after the sale so that they don't piss Atlus off by making the eshop unavailable again.

The pokebank servers and the e-Shop servers are two different servers, and just because the bank servers work for a very small number of jap players doens't mean they will work for the entirety of North America, Australia, and Europe.

What I'm wondering is how long the idea of removing the spotpass features from SwapNote and Flipnote was in the pipeline over at nintendo. Because that could be a possible reason for the mass delay of it.

Like if they knew that a spotpass disable was on the way then they might not be so inclined to release an app that would either have spotpass for a very limited amount of time or not at all at launch.

Maybe they just thought it wasn't worth it at that point?

Not much to do with pokemon bank but I'd thought I'd throw in my 2-cents seeing as how everyone makes the comparison.
