So a few weeks ago I dropped my 3DS by knocking it off my lap. It was closed and fell on the bottom flat, putting a hairline crack in the bottom screen. It was no big deal at first, barely caused any noticeable discoloration unless the screen was completely black.
However, now two columns of dying pixels have been slowly forming over the past few days. Since the screens are LCDs, I'm worried that the liquid crystal might be leaking into the rest of the system; I'm not sure if this can happen or will cause a problem?
Also, what does system export let me keep on the new 3DS (friends list, apps, ambassador status, etc)? Can I still use my old 3DS after I export (so I can export now just in case it breaks) or does it clear everything to prevent using purchased software on multiple 3DS's?
