Anything with protect can scout choice users.

From there it just comes down to using any of many bulk options.

I've never had trouble with it compared to super hot bug action, but it comes down to your team layout more than anything. Some mons can just wreck a whole team's synergy, while losing hard to another one's.

That's assuming you put everything into weezy's Special Def. With no SpD investment, they do 54.4 - 64.3%

so it's either guaranteed 2HKO or 3HKO depending on how scared you are of genesect, however fire blast is a guaranteed OHKO from weezing

Rotom-W isn't problematic, it's just used too much. It doesn't really centralize the game in the sense that you know every nigger is gonna be using him but that doesn't affect your team much.

- Hidden Power [Fire]

Outspeeds and OHKO's Genesect and a truly staggering amount of other threats.

Alternatively Scarf Garchomp with Fire Fang is a guaranteed OHKO. Against teams with no obvious lead I usually run Scarf Garchomp and most people think it's lead Garchomp with Stealth Rock and whatnot.

If Genesect is a lead, Weakness Policy Aegislash can take him out if you lead with him. That's assuming they don't U-turn though and use Flamethrower on you. I find the best way to deal with Genesect is carry things that ruin momentum. A team that carries both Rotom-W and Genesect hate Gastrodon. Which is why I love him.

What is energy ball?

Though yeah, most people don't use that. I've been succesfully countering Genesect with Gastrodon lately. But I don't see why you'd want to run Thunderbolt on Genesect. Sure, it's your only way to hit fire types for neutral damage, but Heatran aint getting killed by that shit any time soon. Energy Ball hits Rotom-w for SE damage and OHKOs physically defensive variants. It's a much better choice in the current meta.

The game is completely unbalanced, and doesn't bad all legendaries. Just a small fraction. It doesn't stop you from using Heatran, Thundurus or Latios, for example.
The "no legendary" rule is completely arbirtrary anyways, as a lot of legendaries are crap and a couple of non legendaries such as Mega Kangaskhan or Blaziken are retarded in competitive play.

It boosts it's speed and after a boost it's sanic. After two it's unstoppable. Getting a boost is trivial because protect.
Fighting Fire is one of the best offensive typings you can make. Flare Blitz and High Jump Kick are moves strong enough that backed up by STAB can 2HKO most things. It gets Swords Dance to further demolish everything and Baton Pass in case you're tired of sweeping with it. On top of that, it gets Thunderpunch and Rock Slide to deal with the couple of pokes that can actually switch into it. It resists two forms of priority too.

You need a dedicated counter to stop it. And good luck if you manage to let it die with the chicken on your opponent's team.

Probably Blaziken's only counter. If everyone has to run a Talonflame on their team just to counter it then it needs a ban. That's not counting last Gen when Talonflame didn't exist.

It's not a counter. It'll die to +2 or even +0 Stone Edge, easily, and can Baton Pass on the predicted switch to something that can handle it. Talonflame is a check, a reliably one though.

There's also plenty of pokemon that aren't hard counters, but give it plenty of trouble. Gyarados and Salamence both resist its 2 STABs have Intimidate on the switch-in, and have moves that can ohko chicken. Gyarados also won't even be 2hko'd by Thunderpunch if it goes Mega and dropped Blaziken's attack. It'll become weak to Fighting moves, but you know, mindgames.

Of course they don't, only bad players would use Protect on a poke with speed boost, specially if it's frail and is on the base 80 speed tier, where they are outsped by everything before a boost and outspeed all unboosted, unscarfed pokes but Deoxys after a boost.

Ditto also copies speed boost iirc.

But it's not really fair to list Scarf Ditto as a revenge killer because it revenge kills nearly everything.

It can't switch into it if it got an SpA boost, even if you're specially defensive. If it got an Attack boost it'll just U-turn anyways.
