Hey /vp/,

So I've been struggling to make a good team for the last few days and this is what I've gotten to. I was hoping I could get some advice on what to use, things that would give my team better synergy and all that.

Whatever help I could get would be very much appreciated!

If youre going to be using Charizard Y, I highly reccomend you have at the least one other pokemon who can utilize the temporary sun it provides. With a team like that, you will probably be leading with charizard 80% of the time, and more than 50% of the time youll be forced to switch immediately when they bring in a counter due to its frailness

If youre gonna use chomp, rough skin is significantly more useful, since you arent even carrying sandstorm.

All of your pokemon are perfectly fine, with no outstanding counters. None of them deserved to be replaced with another pokemon, they all do well standalone, and the only pokemon to bring the least utility is Mandibuzz, but if youre leading with charizard as, rocks wont be bothering any of your pokemon much at all, making defog not as useful.

Also, I notice your garchomp has leftovers for some raisin, even if youre substituting and swords dancing, leftovers only provides very marginal recovery since youll be forcing switches left and right anyways, giving you free dances/subs.

you wont need more than one sub anyways, your item should probably boost its attack, perhaps

Thanks, I guess I forgot to switch Chomp's ability. I'm not too sure what I want to put in place of Mandibuzz, filling the 6th slot is what I find most difficult. I'll change Chomp's item to a berry to take an ice attack or maybe a Rocky Helmet.

So I was focusing on a Mega Charizard Y, and was using Air Slash for him, because he gets STAB. What would be the ideal moveset for him, especially if he is a lead?

I like the set running Focus Blast and Dragon Pulse, flying coverage is more or less redundant given that you're using a fire type and fighting types will be taking a sun boosted Flamethrower.
