Thrash means your opponent can switch into a ghost, rock or steel type and laugh at you
Outrage means your opponent can switch into a dragon or steel type and laugh at you.
Earthquake and Stone Edge deal out significantly more damage than Outrage or Thrash, and between EQ and SE, the only thing I can think of that resists them both is Virizion, who would outspeed and OHKO you anyway.
