As an average joe player who doesn't bother with the whole IV/EV thing.

Would I get completely ass raped if I tried battling online in X and Y?

Since there's a rating system, though, you'd soon be placed with other people who don't care/have no idea about that kind of stuff, and you'll have a better time of it.

It's loads faster than horde training after you're about halfway trained, at which point you can 3-shot or 4-shot the level 3 balloons

Bullshit

Super Training gives 12 EVs a game. Horde training is 50 per battle. I highly highly doubt you can do 4 level 3 regimens faster than I can do one horde battle.

Just remember that each IV and every four EVs in a stat equates to a single stat point at level 100. There can be 31 IVs for every stat, 252 EVs max in a stat, and 508 EVs total on a pokemon. Figure out how that might effect your battles.

It varies slightly in different pokemon, but it's what you would expect, the EVs/IVs needed are doubled for each stat point. Also, I typoed. It's 510 EVs.
