I don't see the problem here. We finally get a Gen I Dark Type and Gyarados is the perfect choice. Now every generation has a Pokémon of every type.

the dark typing helps you vs >muh priority shadow sneak, mold breaker fucks rotom in the butt, and the extra tanky stats it gets are nice too. it is the best setup sweeper.
