It isn't, though. It has nothing to do with the story. Yes, the manga is canon. The games set the character, and the mangas build off of them, and add things that the games couldn't display as well.

There are various entirely different, but all completely canon universes.

The games, the manga, the anime, TCG etc.

None of them have to do with each other but all are canon.

I was mostly talking about the ones based on the first two gens, but either way, why wouldn't that be canon? The only reason it isn't in the game is because you're supposed to project your own personality onto the character, and it'd be a total cockblock if some other person caught a singular legendary and it became unavailable to you.

Just because there's no specified end match or some shit, doesn't mean it can't have happened. PWT happened. Trying to tell other people that segments of a fucking Pokemon game are not canon is about as autistic as it gets.
