I've never been one to bitch about pokemon design, but come on!

It isn't so much that Delphox is bad (although she's clearly not good), it's just that Fennekin and Braixen were so good. They were two of my favorites.

Why, WHY did they fuck up Delphox so badly?

as far as I'm concerned delphox, mawile, misdreavus, gardevoir, and jigglypuff are all 100% female

The giant ear hair, while a feature of Fennec foxes, does not look good. Also, the dark colour of the robes is a bit iffy. The general triangle shape also looks weird.

Actually, I'd say Fennekin and Delphox are more gender neutral.

Delphox could either be a powerful warlock or a powerful sorceress depending on how you look at it

Delphox doesn't really look that bad- half of the problem that it has is that its in game model is so damn boring to look at. It's standing there, and it barely moves until it attacks. I feel if it was in a more "ready" stance, with the wand out, people might feel differently.

I think it's the proportions, not the design itself, that are bad (in-game at least)
Somehow its head is too small and the dress is too big. Fanart actually tends to look better because it fixes the weird proportions.
Compare OP's pic to the in-game model and to a lesser extent the Sugi art, it looks way better.

Really, all they needed to do was cut the dress out the side and expose her legs.

Regardless, they fucking killed it with Braixen. They were basically setting Delphox up to fail by forcing her to follow this.
