So last night I finished the dex and got the Oval/Shiny thing. Does anyone know if this effects MMing? Has anyone had experience with MMing with shiny charm? Better/Faster results for shiny hatch?

Pic sort of related, it's how I felt after finishing the dex.

Pretty sure you need to catch all of them for shiny, but only see the regional dexes for oval.

Yeah just the kalos for Oval. National for Shiny.

I'm not sure about the whole catch/seen thing. When you check your dex, the number on main menu shows how many you've catches, but if you go into that category (mountain/coastal/national) there is a separate Seen number which is usually higher. I didn't check with the professor until I had all 718 obtained.

I have it the shiny charm and I'm in my 315 egg so far no, also on the description of that shiny charm it says that it only works on finding wild pokemon shiny not on egg like B2/W2

Shiny charm only works for WILD pokes, so MM is out of the question for it.

that's not a certainty yet. The US text on shiny charm changed, in JP text it stayed the same as BW2. It's being studied.

Well I guess 1/1000ish is better than the 1/4000iah hatching eggs and trying to find a matching SV. Does MMing even work in Gen6? I did it for a shiny honedge at the very start of X/Y being released and got a shiny within 200 eggs...

But trainer value and shiny value is complete random. My friend bred shiny scyther on Egg 1. How does having one parent from Country X and one from Country Y affect this? Instacheck showed that any egg can be shiny if the correct trainer hatches it. So does MMing reduce the possible range of shiny values the egg can possibly be, to make it more likely to match the trainer value?

I've hatched two shinies without MM just breeding a less than a box for IVs, and when I MM'd it took 2400 eggs. Personal experience proves nothing. We can't be sure.
