Whats the best moveset for typhlosion? I currently have a Timid Shiny Cyndaquil so I want to make him have good shit.

You will need a Ninetales/Charizard Y (Drought)
The playstyle is supposed to be like this: Get in on a resisted hit, Flame Charge their switch-in and murder it (in the rare occasion that you can).
Eruption is for good STAB damage
Solarbeam is for coverage (if sun)
Focus Blast is also for coverage and because they secretly wanted to make Typhlosion Fire/Fighting too
Flame thrower/Fire Blast is there in case your low HP nerfs Eruption damage
This set works with Leftovers (or I guess you can try out Assault vest/Weakness Policy) but NO LIFE ORB (nerfs Eruption) or a Choice (Flame charge is redundant).

You could try a physical set, despite your lower special stat there are more options. However, not with a Timid Typhlosion (a Jolly/Adamant could work kinda though)

Your other option is a choice (scarf or specs) set with Eruption, Fire Blast or Flamethrower, Focus Blast and again Extrasensory/Solarbeam/Hidden Power.

>TL;DR Your only good move is Eruption

Sadly there's nothing else you can run. Specs Modest hits harder but it's too slot, which in turn makes it easy to lower Eruption's power or revenge kill it.

No, use Specs. Considering that Typhlosion is weak to sneaky pebbles and will be switching a lot with Scarf, it'll be pretty useless quickly.

Specs is better to have more power off the bat, even with resistances. This will create less switches and more powerful Eruptions.

Still, a spinner is almost mandatory if you have a Typhlosion on your team.

Defog exists now, rocks aren't all that dangerous. There's no use having a powerful attack when Typhlosion can't take a hit for shit and will die/deal shit damage with Eruption before he even gets his chance to move.

How about switching to something that actually has moves? Infernape and charizard (mega charizard Y is actually pretty good) are good choices. Blaziken works too if you want to be a faggot.
