Get rid of that doubling part of the effect. If it can be done during each player's turn with no cost, the original atk may as well be 4000. Or keep the doubling. He's going to get eaten up by one of the billions of removal effects running around nowadays.

You seriously think Stardust is broken compared to the 4 star regular Banette that OP created?

Not every Xyz is broken (the vast majority are garbage) and Stardust and Maiden of Blue Eyes are essentially irrelevant in the current TCG meta.

OP's Banette on the other hand:
>Ignition effect (non-mandatory, non-triggerable)
>Re-usable effect
>Adds from the Graveyard OR the Deck
>Dark attribute to abuse with BLS and Chaos Sorc
>4 star 1900 beater on top of it all

Because its an ignition effect and not a trigger effect, it does not miss timing. You can also activate its effect every turn (almost all searchers this powerful are one time uses and will say something along the lines of "When this card is summoned..." or "You can only this the effect of this card once"). Coupled with its 1900 attack which gives it incredible staying power as a 4 star monster, you will very likely be able to use its effect more than once. It can recycle monsters from your grave AND search cards from your deck. At the very, very least, its a 1900 beater that goes plus 1 and can very possibly go plus 2, 3 or even higher and it doesn't miss timing. That's absolutely unheard of

I like this a lot. It's still pretty broken though, but at least its a logical card that would be very viable in the metagame and it fits with the pokemon theme.

A Hero Lives (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/A_Hero_Lives) requires you to pay half your LP for essentially the same effect and its considered ridiculously good so I'd recommend putting a caveat like "A monster summoned in this manner cannot be tributed or used for a synchro or xyz symmon this turn" or "A monster summoned with this effect cannot attack this turn" or something.

"A Hero Lives" lets you grab Cap Gold out of your deck. That's a 3100ATK card with Skyscraper. It also has a wider variety. If Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur were weak normal mons or weak mons with cute effects, then the card would work better.

Sure, but nobody who plays remotely competitively runs Skyscraper or Captain Gold in a Hero deck. The only viable hero decks that use A Hero Lives are Bubble Beat decks and Gemini Beatdown. The most common targets for A Hero Lives are 4 star or under monsters

Way too OP. First off the defense in game is pretty thin so I don't think its defense should be anywhere above 2000. His attack is way too high also. Not to mention the ridiculous effect where it has to be attacked by 0 ATK monsters. The opponent literally needs to have 2 monsters on the field and you win the game.

If this is not b8, you really need to actually read some of the cards and get a grasp on how effects should work.

This, essentially. This was from one or two formats ago though so I don't know how they run now. I don't think they're very relevant anymore but Bubblebeat was a very popular tier 1.5 deck that topped at various regionals.

Nice, its a lot more balanced now although I think you might have taken away too much from the usefulness of the card. I think its fair as long as Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle can't be tributed or used as a synchro or xyz material. Otherwise "Your Journey Begins!" is essentially your one normal summon per turn (turned into a special summon).

Nobody uses stat-boosting normal spell cards anymore so you can definitely increase the buff. Stat-boosting traps and/or quickplay spells are more common but still not often used unless they have an additional effect like "Horn of the Phantom Beast" or "Forbidden Lance/Chalice". Perosonally, I'd give "Blaze" the same effect you gave it but make it continuous trap that gives also gives piercing damage to all Fire attribute monsters when your life points are under 2000.
