You rarely see creative strategies in American football because those are usually hit or miss, like a reverse play, or a hook-and-ladder play. Teams stick with the tried and tested plays and strategies that have been around for decades.
And you think people try to get creative with chess? No, they use standard baiting and countering moves and apply them at the right moments.
