Hey /tr/, im building a monograss team for a local event, where random people get to challenge us gym-leaders.
I need some pointers in monotype-team building, also, monotype thread

My current team is:
Venusaur @Megastone Clorophyll Calm, 252 HP/252 SpA/4 Spe
Giga Drain
Sludge Bomb
Protect
Leech Seed/Toxic/Synthesis

Still not sure about my last poke.
Ive considered Tangrowth/Blood Waifu or even Shiftry or Sceptile, but i cant quite make up my mind.

You could do a Cradily, just to get Grass/Rock in there. Could help cover grass' weakness to bug and flying nicely.

I don't think you need that much leech seed. Earthquake on Venusaur (as opposed to Toxic or protect) would help against steels, and works against fires. Shadowball rather than Rain dance on Rotom (especially with RD on ludicolo) would work for psychics/ghosts. I'd replace leech seed on Ludicolo with something else, dunno what though.

Grass you need to go Bulky/stall, so go with that.

Unfortunately that means Ludicolo is useless, but it makes Venusaur better if you don't want to mega, and opens the gates for chlorophyll sweepers.

try going for a sun team, make:
venusaur a bulky chlorophyll tank,
victreebel for either physical or special sweeper (special sweeper gets weather ball FYI)
Rotom Mow for water and flying types, Ferrothorn for psychic types
leavanny for physical sweeper

I had a Cradily at one point.
I used it mostly for toxic stalling.
better in sandstorm though...
but it gets walled by poison and steel types.

but you could also go sassy or careful if you're planning on using a physical rock move instead of energy ball.
but energy ball works better imo, and isn't affected by burning
