So I was doing some really autistic shit with the types of all of Ash's fully evolved Pokémon that he currently owns (dunno how I got into organising that shit) and started trying to make a team with the type combos I ended up getting. Wanted to get a special attacking pure Fire type and considered Magmortar, saw how shitty it was, then went over to Magmar and thought it was actually better than it's evolved form.

Would running Eviolite Magmar be viable in any way at all over it's evolved form, or are there better special based pure Fire type pokemon in general?
