Anyone have art from that one person that had a sorta cartoonish style for the starters, and Greninja was in a constant state of quiet fear?

I feel like the little tuffs coming out of it's ears should be smaller, they add some nice color balance but still just seem way too big.

the proportions. What bothers me is that it lacks the shoulders that Braixen has. Delphox has shoulders that slump downwards like someone with down syndrome

It's not the proportions exactly, it's more of how the hair itself looks. It just seems like a big, squishy blob in 3d.

Delphox is not just my favorite starter from any game in the series, but it's also my favorite fire type.

I thought it looked cool from the moment I saw it, and actually didn't pick Fennekin at the start because I thought everyone was going to use it, and then immediately started over when I found out how hated it is.

Decided to restart my game, and try out Fennekin after having Greninja for so long, and I was seriously pleasantly surprised. With SpA, Spe, and some SpD EVs, it hits pretty hard, and outspeeds quite a bit. Does pretty well in online battles and the maison, too. Not a bad fire starter, gg GF.

OK guys, so why did you choose the starter you have now as your favorite?

Me? I love frogs, I have been a fan of Froakie since Day 1 of its reveal. His viability as a competitive pokemon was an excellent added bonus and I'm thankful for that in many ways.

I decided to choose Chespin the first day they were unveiled. I stuck with my position when I saw goofy Quilladin, and was pretty ecstatic when my Quilladin evolved and I saw Chesnaught for the first time. I'm still trying to figure out how people hate it. All three starters are nice in their own ways, though.

It was a tie between ninja and grass bowser
Chesnaught was for my first run and Greninja for my 2nd who is now officially my all time favourite replacing Feraligatr as my bro since gen 2

Chesnaught just behind Feraligatr and no other starters

I like Delphox because of the theme and how it fits in with the others but cant see myself using it

I can kind of see why people would love Chesnaught, but it's just...
I get the whole idea that it grows out of its spiky shell like a real chestnut, but still wears it as protection on its back. I get it, I really want to like its design.
But they managed so make the body inside that shell so goofy looking. I mean it's supposed to be this tanky warrior kind of character, but it ends up looking like a really lanky guy in a fursuit . With his arms in a really awkward position, like a goalkeeper. If only it was a bit more bulky, filling some of that empty space in the shield, hell it would be enough with that the shoulders reached the damn shoulder plates of the shield. That alone would have probably been enough to fix it.
Oh well. At least for the most part you only see it from behind when you have it.

He's a fighting type, and fighting types should be able to kick and/or punch, that's why rock and steel types looks so bulky and awkward, they are designed to take hits with their body, Chestnaught protects himself with his shield and brings the pain with his arms and legs.
