As the dust continues to settle, what has been your experience in the beta for Gen VI UU on Pokemon Showdown?

Certain pokemon are dominating, including Keldeo, Bisharp the Deos, Mega-Heracross, and- of all pokemon- Mega-Waifu.

I've been exploiting M-Waifu as much as possible now in case he ever gets banned and holy shit he wrecks nearly everything in the tier.

She's getting put into BL, there's no question.

I don't even have to play UU to know she has no place there with that Hyper Voice of her's. Her only limitation of a middling 100 speed is far less of a handicap in UU, and her good special defense is actually a big factor in that tier as well. There's also no Scizor or Talonflame around to bullet punch/brave bird her.

Tbh you could probably take away her megastone and she'd still get use in UU this time around, with her new typing and massive pool of moves. There's almost no way of knowing what kind of Gardevoir you're fighting until she's used a move, and even then she might have some nasty surprise up her elegant sleeve.

M-Heracross is pretty much the same case. There's pretty much nothing that can switch into it. If it's on the field it's taking down one of your Pokemon, and your only hope is to let it happen and set-up a revenge kill.

Speaking of UU waifus, I'm really falling in love with Delphox.

It's fast, hits hard, has reasonable bulk, good coverage... and Magician is proving to be far more useful than I thought it'd be.

Not unless both of those are good without mega. Otherwise they'll probably just bar use of the mega stone in UU while the pokemon themselves stay in UU, akin to what happened with kanga/gengar.

Fire and psychic covers a lot of stuff, it can also learn Shadow Ball.

Its HP isn't half bad for a special sweeper and it's got a nice special defense, and its physical defense - while not good - could be a lot worse.

I'm talking in terms of UU and below. Of course it sucks shit in OU.

I honestly haven't seen anything broken that isn't likely to move to OU on its own anyways (Tornadus-T, Keldeo, Deoxys, etc). A lot of the "holy shit" guys from the start of the month, such as Latias and Kyurem, have been surprisingly underwhelming all things considered. The former OU guys who moved down (Magnezone, Metagross, etc) have been mostly been fitting in fine.

This definitely isn't the UU of last gen. But I think that when the dust settles there won't be need for very much BLing. It'll be a very different game from what we knew though. I don't think the days of Victini and Raiku are coming back.
