I'm one of those players who has shinies fall into his lap, I've gotten around 12 shinies since XY came out, only 2 of those were from fishing.

Do you have a 6IV male yet?

If not, get on that.

Then rebreed for a 5IV female with Protean and use a knot with those two, shouldn't be that hard.

That is with the knot. You only have a 1/5 chance that the knot will choose HP/DEF/SpA/SpD/SPE, then a 1/32 chance that it will generate a natural 31 for ATK, then a 60% chance that it will be Protean.

Why does it have to be 6IV? Especially for any special attacker I breed I want as little attack IVs as I can get so then foul play doesn't screw me over as much
