Fire is only used unstabbed though, making it weaker. Using a fire type that isn't Heatran or Volcarona is a liability because smogon stones + small movepools = death by switching a lot.

I could dig that. Sure, SR and Miss Edge are still an issue, but only normal strength SE threats, not crazy "half your health" levels, like SmogonBird or the joke that Charizard has become.

And in trade, you get insane resistances including 8 immunities.

It's worth it.

Dragon/Steel with levitate is only weak to fighting, and is resistant to like, half the map.
The only things that even hit it for normal are Fire (pssssh), Ice (Bwahaha!), and other dragons.

Poison/Electric with levitate is only weak to psychic, but doesn't have as many resistances.

Isn't fairy/steel with levitate the best defensive combo? Only weak to fire. Then there's poison/dark with levitate = no weaknesses, but not as many resists either.
