I feel as though when you engage in a Pokemon battle, you are pretty much being tested by the opposing Pokemon. Should you display enough prowess and weaken the opponent, a combination of their now weakened state and don't care so much now to be a friend of yours because you've proven your strength.

Think of them as your usual animals, OP. Why do dogs, horses and even fucking whales allow humans to tell them what to do? Thats right, because we TRAIN them to do it. Since its a game and there are mechanics and limitations it feels like they simply jump to affection the second you catch them, but if we were to be realistic a trainer would need to be at least 16 and not a pussy. You know that kid that doesnt fear snakes or insects? You'd need to be that kid. You'd need to be willing to get bitten, poisoned and massacred by wild animals at any moment. It wouldnt be a candy trip for women or retards like the ones in this board.

Because they're not smarter than humans. The Pokédex is full of impossible bullshit.

Also, if Steelix is a species that exists, there's no way there could be any human buildings taller than two floors in any region. Imagine the damage just one of them tunneling through the ground at a hundred miles per hour would do.
