>>17309654I figure Youngster/Lass would be easy mode (perks like lowering the level of trainer Pokemon, not losing money if you lose a battle, etc.) and Veterans/Ace Trainers would be hard mode (perks like upping the levels, increasing battle payout at the risk of increasing your own payout if you lose, etc.)
Also, I never thought about the ability to switch classes, I figured it would be locked in from the start of the game since I used badge count to determine your trainer's skill level. Plus, if you could conveniently switch around at any time the situation calls for it, and have ALL those skills under your belt, that would be kind of OP. The class you'd pick at the beginning of the game would be mostly tailored to the kind of run you have in mind for that file (like I said earlier, monotype runs for example, and certain other classes could have rules that suit nuzlocke challenges, shiny hunters, item collectors, etc.)
