You wake up one day and are told you are a Gym Leader for a new region for upcoming Pokemon titles. For the sake of this thread, there are no new Pokemon, but you must decide what your team is, what order your gym is in (out of 8), what type of a gym leader you are (Dragon, Ice, Electric etc.), what TM you give to the challenger (that your pokemon will know as well) and what gimmick your actual gym has. (Rotating tiles, ice puzzles, etc.) Hard mode: draw your gym Donte must die mode: on top of hard mode, design you as a gym leader.

First of all, there's no reason to have a set order! Gym leaders have different teams based on the challenger's skill level. But, if I were to choose, my gym type would be Dark. It would be a tower. Darkened, with spotlights showing the trainers/following you. Each level would have 2-4 trainers. You would enter at the bottom floor (obviously) but the ladder would be behind a wall that crosses the middle with like a +. Each trainer gaurds a button. That button spins the room a set number of turns in a set direction. (Trainers are immobile on platforms) There would be a specific turn pattern to get to the ladder to the next floor. My team would consist of dual typed dark mons. Specifically, Scrafty, Malamar, Sableye, and/or Drapion.

I wanna see a Normal type 8th gym. With like, all the normal/elementals, with the best stats they can get at that level (probably around 50~). Stuff like Sawsbuck. Bibarel. Pyroar. Helioptile. (maybe Girafarig, but he's stupid) the TM will be Hyper Beam, and they all know/use it. Or maybe, the TM here could be Hidden Power (due to it being normal but multitype) The gym can totally just be like.. one of those self-contained habitat things? like a greenhouse sort of thing, with each habitat having trainers that use normal types that fit that habitat. Then the gym leader is on a small "mountain" in the middle of all the habitats.

Gym #5
Gym isn't a building. entrance to Gym is an open tent, other boundries/"walls" formed by rocks, traffic cones, and yellow taped off areas from outside. Inside tent is a desk with computer and papers, some machines, and the typical statues and "hey champ in the making!" guy set up. Exiting out the back of the tent leads outside again to a desert/mountain area. The whole gym is contained in a giant depression dug out of the earth. You follow a ridge to a set of stairs, wander down into the bottom level where trainers are either standing around rocks, hiding in dirt mounds, or spinning around in dead ends surrounded by rock wall: trainers are Ruins Maniacs, Scientists, and Workers. Most of the maze is roped off yellow tape but also some little rocks, extended bits of rock wall, and ridges leading into "holes" of inaccessible lower level. As you wander through the maze you weave around scattered giant pokemon bones which, if seen from afar are situated to depict a battle of a giant Tyrantrum fighting a giant Bastiodon. At the end of the map you meet the gym leader standing under the head of the Tytrantrum.

Ground type Gym 8 Gym 8 is a hard to find gym for the player. The player has to go to a dried up well and climb down a rope to start his journey. Inside the well is a cave-like complex and the player goes deeper and deeper underground. Flash is advised for exploration. Inside the cave there are various Pokémon trainers also looking for the gym, wild Pokémon or just explorers. At the very deepest point of the cave you find a heavy metal door. A bouncer (rough neck) in a suit inspects you and tells you this is a rave club. Water Pokémon are not allowed inside since they produce water and you have to buy drinks at the club, (excuse obviously). If you have water Pokémon the bouncer will let you use a pc and you can change them. After this you may enter. Inside the club a rave is going on. Huge speakers everywhere blasting bass-loaded sounds. Sluts and Slut Pokémon dancing, people tripping on Shroomish etc. there is a DJ on stage. Talk to the DJ to ask him about the gym leader and he tells you to get on stage. You battle some of my trainers (tamers, rough necks, crush kin, hikers) and if you win the DJ heals your Pokémon and tells you to go behind the stage. Behind the stage you see small electric Pokémon like Pikachu and Dedenne being forced to generate electricity for the club. Those who disobey are whipped into discipline. You find the room where the gym leader resides. The gym leader is a fit, relatively young and harsh man. I ask you about your opinion of forcing electric Pokémon to work for me. I tell you nothing in life is easy, adversity is something we all need to overcome and suffering is inevitable. I ask if you agree (Y/N). No matter what you say, you and me decide to fight each other. We both walk back to the rave area through the horde of Electric Pokémon suffering because of me. Once there the DJ announces the final battle. The crowd cheers and the music pumps louder.

You can now take the elevator from the gym to my house for quick travelling. In the house you’ll find my mom. If you talk to her, she explains that her son may act tough and all but he is actually trying help the Electric Pokémon. Have first gym be a fighting type gym, two low leveled and weak pokes, so maybe Tyrouge and Makuhita. The reward is a TM called Improvement, a fighting type status move that raises the users lowest stat by one stage. Not really viable, but I'll explain. The last gym can be Dark type with four to five tough pokemon and the reward is a dark type TM called Perfect. This would raise the users highest stat by one or maybe two stages. Both TMs can be learned by almost any pokemon, and the point of it is to show how long you've gone on your journey, and how much you improved. (Also, Perfect could be viable in battles for pokemon that have no moves to raise their attack, sp.attack, speed, ect.)

I at one point tried to make a region based on Las Vegas, basing gyms on casinos and themes to go with that. This is an example of one.>Casino Boss Marcus (Roman name meaning 'dedicated to Mars') >MASTER OF THE ARENA! >The gym is based on the Caesar's Palace, and has both a gladiator theme and a Vegas boxing thing. >Machoke >Hawlucha >Hitmonchan >Throh Power Up Punch or Bulk Up is the prize. I came up with a gimmick but I'll let others fill in the rest. When you walk in you find yourself in blindingly white light. It takes a moment for your eyes to adjust so you can see the room slightly more clearly: it's full of mirrors, with otherwise plain floors and walls (not concrete though, standing on that all day will wreck the gym trainer's feet). It also has a high, open ceiling through which sunlight pours. Different windows open depending on different times of day to let more sun in. The mirrors can also change angles and serve to catch sunlight make the room as light as possible. After defeating each gym trainer a few mirrors move back into an upright position, making the room darker. By the time all the gym trainers are defeated the room is dark, with maybe a streak of sunlight through a window depending on time of day. The leader is through a door at the far end of the gym. The room they stand in has no windows and the are barely visible. This gym is open at night but it's unchallengeable. The door to the gym leader's room isn't even locked, but if you walk in you'll find it entirely empty and pitch black.

7th gym, ground type. The gym is composed of floating islands of earth, when a trainer is defeated on one of the islands two paths of floating rocks appear to another island. One of the paths will lead you closer to the gym leader, the other will either collapse and send you to the beginning of the gym or lead you to a trainer. When that trainer is defeated no paths will appear and you will have to go back the way you came. Gastrodon Camerupt Hippowdown Mega-Garchomp Tm26 Earthquake

Ice type Gym with two battles Honestly I can see this as the seventh or 8th gym because of the fact it would take a while to go through Gym would look like a modern glass house, akin to Fallingwater or something of that modern caliber. You can't see inside but when you go in, you see the skyscrapers/homes and businesses in the town near you. The inside has giant ice furniture and acts like a weird model home, and their size is what makes navigating to the other side of the rooms difficult, along with about 5 trainers in each room. The trainers have pre-evolved forms of the Pokemon you'll encounter in the last room save for one on each team that's special The final room is a bedroom with two trainers, a boy and a girl. They're both in bed and the girl is just jumping around on it while the boy is just there, annoyed and silent. You were told it would be a double battle but the boy refuses to battle you, so the girl goes on instead, apologizing for the weird event that just fell through. Girl's Team Frosslass Vanilluxe Glaceon Lapras Jynx When defeated, the girl happily hands over the badge but the boy insists otherwise. He then kicks you out of the gym (This gives you a chance to heal or whatever,) and when you go back into the gym, the interior design is different from when you last came in, so it's a different puzzle and way to get to the leader. Once you get to the bedroom again, the girl is sleeping and he's awake, ready to battle. His team is Beartic Weavile Cloyster Mamoswine Mega Abomasnow After you defeat him, you get the Frostbite badge. The TM you get is Frost Breath. If Pokemon World Tournament comes back, you can fight them but in a double battle setting with the following Pokemon Regice Mega Abomasnow Froslass Articuno pretty much the male leader is autistic and rude and unfit for society and likes architecture and his qt gf likes ice types too so she joins in on the fun
