Rescue team isn't really any harder than explorers. Only has some majorly bad designed stuff like having to equip a berry before using it.

I really enjoyed Rescue team and Explorers many years ago, but I recently got Gates to infinity. fuck it's so boring. do I have nostalgia goggles on or is this one a lot more shit that the others?

Gates to Infinity

Gameplay in the entire series is mediocre at its best at its core, having all the pokemon barely added anything for me. Extra content doesn't count for me if it's not even worth my time to play. Gates, unlike the others, at least had a decent story which gives it the edge. Still 6/10 at best though.

I played Blue Rescue Team when it first came out. While I loved the characters and the story I really didn't like the gameplay that much. Felt kinda boring to me.
Still, is Explorers of Sky worth checking out for the story and characters and emotions, even though I spoiled some story elements (like the Grovyle/Ducknoir twist) and the gameplay is a little boring to me?

Was more referring to the general pokemon fanbase's opinion. Heard a lot about how it was a beautiful game and it was average at best in all aspects Except the soundtrack.
