perish song is pretty useless as the other player will just switch out just like that and wasting a turn for it may get it killed. As for pain split, it would be more useful on a more defensive set.

Yeah looking at perish song it is a bit useless, but I was concenred that >>17340822 puts a sub and life orb on a set with no way to recover health.
With access to fairy and rock moves, as well as the ghost stab, is an expert belt set conceivable over life orb?

Expert belt IMO would only be better then Life Orb if your coverage would be better. With ghost, fairy, rock and another random move you would cover Ghost,Dark,Dragon,Flying,Bug,Fire,Ice,Psychic,Fighting.
So yeah an Expert belt would be good here but I think it would fail to take out special wall too well or you would need Nasty Plot/Calm Mind

You only needed HP fighting in previous gens to counter Steel types and Dark types

shadow ball is now neutral against steel and now you get dazzling gleam to deal with dark fags.
