"Nintendo have announced that, after three weeks, they have found a way to successfully work Pokémon Bank in the west. They have said that now, Pokémon Bank will be available only in physical form, and not use a cloud storage. Instead, players will need an empty SD card to store their Pokémon with. The physical copy of Pokémon Bank will come bundled with 'Mario Party Island Tour' set to hit shelves in Europe and Australia next week. The game is already out in the USA, and copies produced at the same time as the EU and AUS copies will come with the Pokémon Bank cartridge. With the Mario Party game will be a code which players can use to start their free one month trial of Pokémon Bank. After which, they will need to use the Pokémon Bank cartridge and connect to the internet and pay a $5 a year fee to continue using the storage; if it isn't paid after the year expires, the SD card containing the stored Pokémon will be locked until it is paid. Also; because of technical difficulties, the Pokémon Bank cartridge will not come with a gift Celebi.
There is no news on whether Poké Transporter will be available in any form for the west.
Mario Party Island Tour hits European shelves on Friday, January 17th, and in Australia on Saturday, January 18th. The game will release in Japan later this year, but will not come with the game as Japan will be able to download it and Poké Transporter via the Nintendo eShop on Friday, January 17th.
We'll bring details on this as soon as we can.
